1+ Blocking

You can prohibit any long- distance calls from being made from your phone. This is activated by calling your provider.

900 Blocking

Restricts access t all phone numbers to the (900) area code from being made. This is activated by calling your provider.

Anonymous Call Rejection

This feature allows the subscriber to automatically stop certain calls from ringing their phone. 

To Activate: Dial *77.

To Deactivate: Dial *87.

Automatic Call Back

Keeps dialing busy numbers and tells you when the line is free.

To Activate: When a busy signal is received, hang up and then dial *66. You will hear an announcement. Hang up. The line will be checked for 30 minutes and give you a special ring when it is free.

To Deactivate: Dial *86.

Automatic Recall

This feature lets you redial the caller even if you couldn’t answer the telephone in time. 
To Activate: Dial *69. If the line is busy, you will receive an announcement and your phone will try the number in 30 minutes. 
To Deactivate: Dial *89.

Call Blocking by Pin Code

This feature allows you to program a PIN number to your line which will have to be entered before a billable call can be made. Local and 800, 888, 877, 866, 855 calls are allowed.

Call Forwarding

This feature allows you to forward your calls to any other telephone number.
To Activate: Dial *72 and listen for a second dial tone. When you hear this, dial the number you want your calls to go to. When someone answers at the number you’re dialed. Call within two minutes. You will get a confirmation tone verifying activation.
To Deactivate: Dial *73 and listen for a confirmation tone.

Call Forwarding - Busy

This feature will forward incoming calls to a predetermined number if your line is busy. 

To Activate: Dial *90 and wait for the second dial tone. When second dial tone is received, dial the number you want your calls to go to. When someone answers at the number you dialed, call forwarding is activated. If you receive a busy signal or no answer, hang up and try again in two minutes. You will get a confirmation tone verifying activation.
To Deactivate: Dial *91 and listen for a confirmation tone.

Call Forwarding - Don’t Answer

This feature forwards incoming calls to a predetermined number if you are not able to answer a call. 

To Activate: Dial *92 and wait for the second dial tone. When second dial tone is received dial the number you want your calls to go to. When someone answers the number dialed, Call Forwarding is activated. If you receive a busy signal or no answer, hang up and try again within two minutes. 
To Deactivate: Dial *93 and wait for a confirmation tone.

Caller ID

This feature allows you to see the number of the calling party before you can answer the call. This feature requires a caller id phone and is activated by your provider. To block your name and number from being displayed:

Dial *67 and the number you wish to call. To unblock dial *82.

Call Waiting

This feature allows you to handle more than one call from a single line. A tone alerts you when a second call is coming in. 

To answer, press the receiver hook or flash button. This will place the first call on hold and connect you with the second call. Repeat the same procedure to toggle between callers. This feature is activated by your provider.

Call Waiting for Caller ID

Must have Caller ID and Call Waiting.

While in conversation, a second incoming call will ID giving you the option to place a call one on hold and answer the second call.

Customer Originated Trace

This feature allows you to record the number of the calling party. The normal use of this feature is for nuisance calls. 
To Activate: When you get a nuisance call, hang up and dial *57, then dial 1 and listen to the recording to see if the trace was successful. Note: the number you trace will be recorded at the Communications company. If you decide to follow up on the matter, please contact local authorities. A charge of $3.00 per call will be incurred for this service.

Selective Call Acceptance

This feature allows you to program up to 10 number s that you only wish to receive. This feature only works if the calling number is identified by the provider’s equipment. 

To Activate/Deactivate: Dial *64 and follow the recorded instructions.

Selective Call Forwarding

Allows subscribers to select a list of calling numbers whose calls will automatically be forwarded.

Selective Call Rejection

This feature allows you to program up to 10 numbers you wish not to receive calls from. This feature only works if the calling number is identified by the provider’s equipment. 

To Activate/Deactivate: Dial *60 and follow the recorded instructions.

Simultaneous Ring

Callers can reach you on up to five different phones, by dialing just one number. The phones can ring simultaneously or in the order of your choice. 

To Activate/Deactivate: Dial *55

Speed Calling

The feature allows you to store up to 8 of your most frequently dialed numbers by dialing just one or two digits. Speed calling 8 and 30 are available. Local and long- distance numbers are programmable.

To establish call list for speed calling 8: Dial *74 and one of the access code numbers (8 numbers, 2-9, 30 numbers, 20-49). Dial the number you wish to store and dial #.  A confirmation should be heard. To use: Lift the receiver and dial the access code. Dial # and the call will automatically be dialed. Note: Telephone numbers can easily be changed by reprogramming the code with another telephone number.

Voice Mail

Basic Voice Mail is similar to an answering machine, only there is no equipment. Allows callers the ability to leave a message if you do not answer or are on the telephone.

ACCESSING YOUR VOICE MAIL:

  • Dial _ _ _ -MAIL (6245). (Insert your exchange prefix. All Viroqua customers must dial 638-6245. All Cashton customers must dial 634-6245.) Then either (A) If using Auto Login and accessing from your home phone no entry required. (B) Press # if calling from the phone your voice mail is subscribed to. (C) Enter your 10 digit telephone number, if calling from a remote phone.
  • If requested, enter your password, followed by the # key. Your password will be your VC Co-op account number by default. To change your password, go to mailbox setup.
  • Main Menu: Press 1 to retrieve messages, Press 3 to send, Press 7 for current date and time, or Press 9 for mailbox setup, the first new message will play immediately. To Change or Record Your Greeting: 1) Press 1: Greeting Options 2) Press 2 : Re-Record You Greeting 3) Press # : End Recording Function.
  • Press 1: Listen to Greeting Options in Message Retrieval: (1) Press 1 : New Message (2) Press 2 : Save Messages (3) Press *: Return to Main Menu
  • To Listen to Message (1) Press 1 to Play or re-play message (2) Press 2 to Save Messages (3) Press 3 to Delete Message
Voice Mail to Email

Receive an email with an attached WAV file each time someone leaves you a voice message. 

To Activate: This feature is activated by your provider
