Calling Features Included With Local Phone Service
Prohibits all long-distance calls being made from your phone.
Restricts access to all phone numbers to the (900) area code from being made.
This feature allows a subscriber to automatically stop certain calls from ringing their phone.
To Activate: Dial *77.
To Deactivate: Dial *87.
This feature redials a busy number until the line is free.
To Activate: When a busy signal is received, hang up and then dial *66. You will hear an announcement. Hang up. (The line will be checked for 30 minutes and give you a special ring when it is free).
To Deactivate: Dial *86.
This feature lets you redial the caller even if you couldn’t answer the telephone in time.
To Activate: Dial *69.
If the line is busy, you will receive an announcement and your phone will try the number in 30 minutes.
To Deactivate: Dial *89.
This feature allows you to program a PIN number to your line, which will have to be entered before a billable call can be made. Local and 800, 833, 844, 855, 866, 877 and 888, calls are allowed.
This feature allows you to forward your calls to any other telephone number.
To Activate: Dial *72 and listen for a second dial tone. When you hear the dial tone, dial the number where you would like your calls forwarded. When the call is answered at the number you are forwarding, Call Forwarding is activated. If no one answers at the forwarding number, repeat the process within two minutes. You will get a confirmation tone verifying the activation.
To Deactivate: Dial *73 and listen for a confirmation tone.
NOTE: If the number is being forwarded to a long-distance number, you may be billed for the call.
This feature will forward incoming calls to a predetermined number if your line is busy.
To Activate: Dial *90 and wait for the second dial tone. When the second dial tone is received, dial the number you want your calls to be forwarded. When someone answers at the number you dialed, call forwarding is activated. If you receive a busy signal or there is no answer, hang up and try again within two minutes. You will get a confirmation tone verifying activation.
To Deactivate: Dial *91 and listen for a confirmation tone.

This feature allows you to see the number of the calling party before you answer the call. This feature requires a Caller ID phone. To block your name and number from being displayed: Dial *67 and the number you wish to call. To unblock dial *82.
This feature allows you to receive more than one call on a single line. A tone alerts you when a second call is coming in. To answer, press the receiver hook or flash button. This will place the first call on hold and connect you to the second caller. Repeat the same procedure to toggle between callers. This feature is activated by your provider.
Must have Caller ID and Call Waiting. While in conversation, a second incoming call will ID, giving you the option to place the first call on hold and answer the second call.
This feature allows you to record the number of the calling party. The normal use of this feature is for nuisance calls.
To Activate: When you get a nuisance call, hang up and dial *57, then dial 1 and listen to the recording to see if the trace was successful.
Note: the number you trace will be recorded at your Communications company. If you decide to follow up on the matter, please contact local authorities. (A charge of $3.00 per call will be incurred for this service).
This feature allows you to program up to 10 different numbers that you only wish to receive. This feature only works if the calling number is identified by the providers equipment.
To Activate/Deactivate: Dial *64 and follow the recorded instructions.
Allows a subscriber to select a list of calling numbers that can automatically be forwarded.
This feature allows you to program up to 10 numbers you do NOT want to receive. This feature only works if the calling number is identified by the providers equipment.
To Activate/Deactivate: Dial *60 and follow the recorded instructions.
Callers can reach you at up to five different phone numbers by dialing just one number. The phones ring simultaneously.
To Activate/Deactivate: Dial *55.
This feature allows you to store up to 30 of your most frequently dialed numbers by dialing just one or two digits. (Speed calling up to 8 or 30 numbers are the available options).
To establish call list for speed calling 8: Dial *74 and one of the access code numbers (8 numbers, 2-9, 30 numbers, 20-49). Dial the number you wish to store and dial #. A confirmation should be heard. To use the speed calling feature: Lift the receiver and dial the access code and the call will automatically be dialed.
Note: Telephone numbers can easily be changed by reprogramming the code with another telephone number.
Voice mail is similar to an answering machine, but there is no equipment to purchase or replace. It works even if the power is off. It has the ability to answer your calls if you do not answer, or if you are on the telephone. Your calls can be retrieved remotely from any telephone regardless of where you are. You have the ability to save or delete your messages. Voice Mail even gives you the convenience of some forwarding features.
